Melinda Chapman:Director

Company director, Melinda manages Infocus Management Group’s food safety consultancy and training services. She  facilitates the development of HACCP systems for our clients. As a pioneer provider and adviser in the development of food safety supervisor training and the role of food safety supervisors, Melinda regularly advises and assists companies in meeting their regulatory and food safety training requirements. With qualifications in education and workplace training, Melinda has developed and facilitated training programs for Bakers Delight, Spirit of Tasmania, Primelife and Eastern Health. Melinda is a council member of the Australian Institute of Training and Development.


Dr Jim Smith: Principal Consultant

Jim is our principal consultant. Over the last 18 years he has provided an extensive range of public health consultancy, training, and professional development services to the private, public and community sectors. Jim has been a consultant to the Department of Human Services on food safety policy issues and was previously Chairman of the Department’s Food Hygiene Advisory Committee. Jim has had a long standing interest and involvement in local government public health planning both at the strategic and operational levels. He has also been heavily engaged in environmental health policy, particularly food safety policy development and domestic wastewater management. As a result of this he has provided consultancy services to industry bodies and is public health policy advisor to the Municipal Association of Victoria, the peak local government body in Victoria. Jim is the Editor of the Australian Institute of Environmental Health (AIEH) journal, and is a past President and Life Fellow of the AIEH.


Jaclyn Huntley:Consultant

BHSc. As a public health professional and leading writer and reviewer of food safety programs for the Aged Care sector, Jaclyn has an intimate knowledge of the food safety training and management requirements for organisations providing food to vulnerable people. Jaclyn delivers Food Handler, Food Safety Supervisor and Food Hygiene Refresher courses with excellent feedback received from participants. Jaclyn is a Member of the Australian Institute of Environmental Health and co-edits the AIEH journal.


Petina Brennan:Consultant

Petina commenced professional life in the food service and catering sector and qualified as a Chef seventeen years ago. Petina has broad experience in all aspects of the food service and catering sector and has specialized as a trainer in food service, food safety, and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA). She has recently completed her Diploma in VET teaching. With her practical experience and training background, Petina is in high demand by clients to assist and facilitate them in the development, implementation and evaluation of food safety policies, programs and procedures.  Petina will visit your workplace to help you with all aspects of your Food Safety and Hospitality requirements according to your needs.

Simon Berton:Consultant

BHSc. Joining the company in May 2006, Simon took on the position of a graduate Public Health Project Officer. Prior to joining the company Simon was an undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Health Science degree (Public Health) at La Trobe University Bundoora. In 2005 Simon gained valuable experience in the areas of men’s health, koori health and family health as part of his placement with Gippsland Lakes Community Health. Simon is now an enthusiastic member of the Infocus team and works with clients to assist and facilitate them in the development, implementation and evaluation of food safety policies, programs and procedures. Simon also assists our clients in the areas of health promotion, risk management and policy development. Simon is a member of the La Trobe University Public Health Association, Australian Health Promotion Association & Youth Health Promotion Network.


Shelley Ryeland:Business Support

Shelley has come from an office admin background and has taken on the role of Business Support Officer. Prior to joining the company Shelley completed her Duel Diploma in Marketing & Event Management at Holmesglen Institute of TAFE before going onto becoming Office and Marketing coordinator in her previous position. Shelley will be working within all sectors of Infocus while developing and expanding her career.

 


Nola Elliott: Accounts Manager

Nola is the newest member of the Infocus team, joining the company in early 2008 bringing forth a wealth of knowledge and experience in relation to accounts management techniques. Nola has a vast background working in various sector such as Cummunity Education and Community Health.
