Food Handler Refresher
This 3½ hr onsite refresher course, which can accommodate up to 20 participants per session is made up of our popular Food Hygiene Refresher course followed by formal written and practical assessment tasks.
Practical activities and assessment tasks include:

§ “Glitterbug” handwashing |
§ Correctly handling high risk food |

§ Receiving and checking incoming goods |
§ Covering, labelling and storing |
|
§ Use of probe thermometers |
§ Reporting illness |
Various scenarios will be presented to enable problem solving and undertaking of corrective action within the participant's level of responsibility.
(We recommend to our aged care and hospital clients that staff undertake this Food Handler Refresher every third year in lieu of the annual 1½ hour Food Hygiene Refresher, as it includes formal assessment and awards the Food Handler unit of competency - HLTFS207B. This way, food handling staff will always maintain a current 'Food Handler Certificate').
Prerequisite: Food Handler Course or equivalent
For those unable to attend a facilitated course, we also offer a Distance Education option , known as our Food Handler Flexi Pack.
Cost: $1,015 (GST exempt) for up to 12 people onsite ($43 per extra participant. Maximum 20) .
