Melinda Chapman

Director

BEd. As company director, Melinda leads Infocus Management Group’s food safety consultancy and training services and oversees the company's food safety management projects. She plays an active research role to continuously improve food safety services and ensure all clients are meeting changing legislative requirements. Melinda also facilitates the development and management of HACCP systems for clients who aim to achieve and maintain HACCP Certification. 

As a pioneer provider and adviser in the development of food safety supervisor training in Victoria, Melinda now regularly advises and assists companies in meeting their food safety regulatory and training requirements.

With qualifications in education, workplace training, HACCP and Safe Quality Food (SQF™) Melinda has developed and facilitated training and professional development programs for Queensland Health (Hospitals), Allity, Bupa Care Services, Sofitel Melbourne, Krispy Kreme  and Environmental Health Australia. Melinda is currently completing her MBA with Deakin University. 

Simon Berton  

Simon Berton

Director

BHSc. As company director, Simon guarantees all client services are scheduled and completed to the highest standard. For multi-site companies Simon liaises with Hospitality and Food Services Managers and Directors of multi-site organisations to ensure their food safety programs achieve corporate consistency but are specific to each facility. He provides regular feedback and updates to clients in relation to managing food related risks.  

Simon also works with clients at the individual facility level to assist and facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of food safety policies, programs and procedures. With Qualifications in Health Sciences, workplace training and 8 years’ experience as a food safety consultant, Simon is a knowledgeable and respected trainer of Food Handler, Food Safety Supervisor and Food Hygiene Refresher courses, utilising his personable and approachable nature to provide a great learning environment.

Jaclyn Huntley  

Jaclyn Huntley

Specialist Consultant

BHSc. As a public health professional and leading writer and reviewer of food safety programs for the Aged Care and Healthcare sector, Jaclyn has an intimate knowledge of the food safety training and management requirements for organisations providing food to vulnerable people in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and South Australia.

With over ten years’ experience as a food safety consultant and trainer, and food safety auditor qualifications for Level 4 – High Risk Food, Jaclyn readily responds to our clients technical food safety requests and queries and will always go the 'extra mile' to resolve issues they may face. She thoroughly enjoys her training role delivering Food Handler, Food Safety Supervisor and Food Hygiene Refresher courses across Australia. She consistently receives excellent feedback from participants who enjoy her unique personable approach and entertaining case studies.

Lian Byrne

Consultant

BSc.  As a food safety professional, Lian’s most recent experience prior to joining Infocus has been in leading and supporting quality assurance teams in the beverage and bakery manufacturing industry. Lian has successfully designed and implemented full and partial aspects of complex Quality Management Systems for a number of clients and also has a broad range of experience in foodservice, retail, administration and  logistics. She is adept at adapting practical user-friendly platforms and food safety requirements to the needs of an organisation and its workplace processes.   

Lian is very passionate in applying safe food handling practices with a hands on and supportive approach in both her training and consulting work. She encourages strong relationships and open communication with Infocus clientele and is a keen advocate of professional and continuous development for the benefit of our current and future clients. Member of the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology. 

 

 

Sharen Cameron

Corporate Administrator/Business Trainer

MMngt.  With tertiary qualifications in business, management and training and most recently completing her Master of Management (MMngt), Sharen has almost 20 years experience working in senior management and business consulting roles in both national and multinational corporations. She has worked in a range of industry sectors including automotive, building/construction equipment and IT and continues to manage her own successful business enterprises in IT services and consulting.
