Courses-Food Safety Supervisor

Legislation requires every Victorian food business to have a nominated and qualified Food Safety Supervisor. Infocus Management Group’s one day course meets legislative requirements for Food Safety Supervisors and covers the skills and knowledge you will need to successfully implement your organisation’s Food Safety Program. Prerequisite - Food Handler Certificate.

On successful completion, you will be awarded the required nationally recognised units of competency for presentation to your Council. More information

Queensland Food Safety Supervisor Courses

Under the Food Act 2006 , every licensable food business in Queensland will be required to have a
Food Safety Supervisor by 22 February 2008. This course meets the legislated training requirements
for Food Safety Supervisors working in Hospitals, Aged Care and Childcare facilities
.

2 Day Course

Day1:
Award:
Upon successful completion of Day 1, participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for:
HLTFS207B Follow basic food safety practices (Equivelant to a Basic Food Handler Certificate.)
Cost: $190

Day 2:
Award:
Upon successful completion of Day 2, participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for:
HLTFS309B - Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace
HLTFS310B - Apply and monitor food safety requirements
Prerequisite: Day 1 or equivalent

Courses - Food Handler

Legislation requires each food business to ensure food handlers have the appropriate skills and knowledge for the work they do. Successful food businesses ensure their team members demonstrate excellent food safety practices by regularly reinforcing food handler competencies.

If you or your staff cannot attend one of our upcoming courses, then we can deliver a Food Handler course in your workplace at a time suitable to you. A distance education mode is available (The Food Handler Toolbox). This 6 ½ hr course covers personal hygiene, food hygiene, safe food storage and cleaning practices & procedures. On successful completion, you will be awarded the required nationally recognised units of competency for presentation to your Council.

Food Safety Training That's Fun!

Take a tour of the Food Handler Toolbox CD today! The CD includes fun learning activities, interesting case studies and downloadable support material.

The materials are presented around generic food service settings where the learner is given challenges and situations that they would typically encounter. The emphasis is on learning by doing – the learner takes on a food related role, and makes decisions that will help the organisation achieve its food safety obligations.

Courses-Food Hygiene for Food Handlers Refresher

This 1½ hour course is a mixture of serious information (food handler responsibilities) and fun activities (Glitterbug-seeing the bugs on your hands) aimed at reinforcing critical food hygiene knowledge and skills for food handlers.

Each year the contents of the course changes enabling a focus on current “issues” together with practical training in new procedures and any changes to the organisations Food Safety Program.

This course does not include formal assessment or the issuing of the formal certificates.
A Participation Certificate is issued

Pre-requisite: Food Handler Course.
Onsite: $49.00+GST per person (minimum of 10 participants
)

 

Courses-Responsible Service of Alcohol

This ½ day course provides liquor service staff with the knowledge and awareness necessary to responsibly serve alcohol in licensed premises. A must for anyone working in the liquor industry. It is now a condition of all packaged liquor licences that every person responsible for the management or control of a packaged liquor business must have undertaken an approved Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA) program and then must update annually. This course can be delivered in your workplace at a time suitable to you.

Infocus Management Group is registered with Liquor Licensing Victoria to deliver this course. Successful participants will be awarded the following nationally accredited unit of competency:
